Craig Stewart is an English former footballer who currently serves as the head manager for the Providence Friars men's soccer team, as well as an assistant manager for FC Greater Boston.

Career

Player

Stewart spent most of his childhood playing for the youth academy of Newcastle United F.C.. Stewart played college soccer for Loughborough University in the United Kingdom and Franklin Pierce University in the United States. Following his stint as a collegiate footballer, Stewart played semi-pro football for the New Hampshire Phantoms and Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Second Division, which, at the time, was the third tier of soccer in the United States.

Managerial

Stewart first received managerial experience coaching the youth teams of Newcastle's academy. He resumed his managerial stints as an assistant manager at Northeastern University. He subsequently served as an assistant manager for Providence College, before earning his first head managerial role for his alma mater, Franklin Pierce. After three years coaching the program, Stewart became appointed as the next manager for Providence, where he has served since.
