The harlequin quail (Coturnix delegorguei) is a species of bird in the family Phasianidae. It is found in Africa and in Yemen.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
The bird species are divided into three including:[2]
- C. d. arabica, Bannerman, 1929 - Yemen
- C. d. delegorguei, Delegorgue, 1847 - African mainland including Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, South Africa and Madagascar
- C. d. histrionica, Hartlaub, 1849 - founded on São Tomé Island, São Tomé and Príncipe
