Cornelia Scheffer (née Lamme; 23 April 1769 – 4 July 1839) was a Dutch painter and portrait miniaturist.[1]
She was born in Dordrecht, the daughter of the painter Arie Lamme, by whom she was probably trained. She married the painter Johann Baptist Scheffer and after his death moved to Paris with their sons Ary and Hendrik Scheffer[2] for them to be trained as painters. When Ary's work became popular, she worked for him as a copyist. She died in Paris, aged 70.
