Coliseum Mineral, Fossil, Gem, and Jewelry Show

The Denver Coliseum Mineral, Fossil, Gem and Jewelry Show is an annual public trade show hosted at the Denver Coliseum in Denver, Colorado. It runs in conjunction with other independent shows, starting the first Saturday after Labor Day in September. This group of gem, mineral, jewelry and fossil shows (called a "showcase") is second in size (in the U.S.) only to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. The Denver Coliseum Mineral, Fossil, Gem, and Jewelry Show, also known as "the Coliseum Show" takes place over nine days and features sellers of minerals, fossils, meteorites, crystals, beads, jewelry, and gold, as well as related services and displays. The show occupies 69,000 square feet (6,400 m2) of the Denver Coliseum as well as twice that area in tents located in the west parking lot. Attendance is 40,000 - 50,000 and includes the general public, experts, beginning collectors, museum employees, dealers, retailers, and researchers.
