Chris Orion
Chris Orion (born September 22, 1976) is an amateur American radio personality. He is best known for being the voice of the "Saturday Night Party Mix" on WOMX-FM, Mix 105.1 in Orlando, Florida. Formerly known as Ed "the phone guy" Downs, he began and maintained a local radio career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 1997-2001.
After a few years in local radio in Orlando, in February 2008, Chris hosted his final Saturday Night Party Mix. During the broadcast he hinted at a big announcement to be revealed at 10 PM. When the 10 o'clock hour started he told his listening audience this would be his final show (he still had two hours of air time until the end of the show). After the Party Mix ended Chris worked as the evening weekday DJ for sister station WOCL Sunny 105.9 for several months.
On February 22, 2013, Chris announced on his web site that he is leaving Central Florida and moving back to Philadelphia to attempt to further his career in radio and television.
