Chloé Mons, born in Lille in December 1972, is a French actress and singer.

Biography

Sister of Barnabé Mons, leader of Lille psychedelic rock band Sheetah & Les Weissmullers, Chloé Mons becomes the muse of the American photographer Tom Sewell, before marrying in 2001 the singer Alain Bashung whom she met during the shoot of the music video La nuit je mens, and with whom she recorded the Song of Songs to the music of Rodolphe Burger for their marriage. They have a daughter, named Poppée.

In 2006, inspired by the Letters to my daughter of Calamity Jane, she wrote and composed La Ballade de Calamity Jane. The project was born with the participation of her husband Alain Bashung, and the guitarist and leader of the group Kat Onoma Rodolphe Burger. In the same year, she published her debut solo album Chienne d'un seul, which she defended on stage as the first part of her husband on La Tournée des grands espaces. In 2009, she wrote, composed and self-produced her second solo album, Par la rivière, an opus she defines as "punk/country" and that she played alone or with a limited number of band members in small cinemas in France and the United States.

Her third solo album titled, Walking was recorded at the end of 2010 in Kingston, New York, and produced by Malcolm Burn, who has worked with Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, and Emmylou Harris among others. She has performed on stage, accompanied by guitarist Yan Péchin .

On March 2, 2012, Fetjaine, Let Go, publishes a narrative that recounts in the form of a diary, the last hours of her husband Alain Bashung, who died in 2009.

2012 is also the year of the release of Il Buio, a duet album with the guitarist Xavier Boussiron, composed of varied covers, from Johnny Guitar to Ciao Ragazzi. Noted as well is the participation of Salvatore Adamo on the title La Notte, whose favorite instrument is the electric ukulele.
