Chicago World Trade Center

The Chicago World Trade Center was a proposed 2,500 ft (762 m) mega tall skyscraper in Chicago, United States. The building was designed in 1982 by American architect Harry Weese for Stanley Raskow and would have had 210 floors. The building was also supposed to look like the original World Trade Center towers in New York that were destroyed on September 11, 2001.

In the absence of a physical structure, the Chicago World Trade Center was forgotten along with the organization. It was not until 2014 that the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) revamped their efforts to bring a World Trade Center (WTC) to Chicago. Today, World Trade Center Chicago works closely with the WTCA to promote global commerce by helping small-to-medium size businesses improve their performance as world traders. The ultimate goal of World Trade Center Chicago is to promote regional growth and to create jobs.

World Trade Center Chicago is not the same organization as World Trade Center Illinois or World Business Chicago.
