104.8 Channel 4 is part of the Channel 4 Radio Network which was launched in June 1997. It was the first ever commercial radio network in the United Arab Emirates and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ajman Independent Studios LLC .
The line up consists of a variety of nationality's, strategically conducted to connect to the diverse audience in which the UAE houses. In 2017, Channel4FM broke a world record for the longest underwater radio broadcast. They also brought Ed Sheeran to the country on his world tour. as well as Jennifer Lopez.
