Series chronology

The first series of the British reality dating programme Celebs Go Dating aired from 29 August to 16 September 2016, with the concept of the show celebrities going on a number of dates with members of the public to see if they can find love. The series stars Eden Blackman and Nadia Essex as the dating experts, and Tom Read Wilson as a receptionist. After the success of the first series, it was announced that E4 had ordered two more series of the show to air in 2017.

Production

Development

It was announced in March 2016 that E4 had commissioned a new reality dating show which see celebrities go on dates with members of the public. Filming for the first series started in August 2016, with the show airing later that month. The show was filmed a few weeks in advance. The first series was made up of 15 one hour episodes airing every weekday over 3 weeks.

Filming

The series is filmed in the way similar to The Only Way is Essex where it's filmed a few days in advance, the show's filming is a week behind broadcast, with it taking place all over the U.K. The show uses a fly on the wall filming style with fixed cameras across the room, with a crew controlling them from another room.
