Castelo de Torres Vedras is a castle in Torres Vedras, Portugal. Characterized by a mix of Gothic and Manueline features, it is classified by IGESPAR as a Site of Public Interest.

History

It was perhaps built in Late Antiquity by the Alans or the Visigoths. However, the current structure dates from the Islamic rule of Iberia. It was conquered by the Christian forces in 1148 under Afonso I of Portugal.
