The Caroline County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) is the primary law enforcement agency servicing 28,245 people within 539 square miles (1,400 km2) of jurisdiction within Caroline County, Virginia.
Organization
The agency is currently headed by Sheriff Anthony A. "Tony" Lippa, Jr. The CCSO has been accredited by the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission (VLEPSC) since 2006.[1]

This agency experienced tremendous growth in the late 2000s as Caroline is some of the last undeveloped land between Richmond and Washington, D.C..
