Biette de Cassinel

Biette Cassinel (1340-1380), was the chief mistress of Charles V of France, from 1360 until 1380. She has been referred to as the first official mistress of a French monarch.

Her brother Ferry Cassinel was bishop of Lodève in 1375, later bishop of Auxerre, and eventually Archbishop of Rheims.

It its rumored John of Montaigu (born in 1360) was her son.
