Begonia baccata is a plant species of the genus Begonia in the Begoniaceae family. It is endemic to Sao Tome and one of the largest Begonia species in world. It closest relative is Begonia crateris, also endemic to Sao Tome. The species name means a fleshy berry.
Distribution
Begonia baccata is endemic to the island of São Tomé.

Begonia baccata was described by William Jackson Hooker in 1866.
