Bhuvan Bam (born 22 January 1994)[1] is an Indian comedian, and YouTube personality from New Delhi, India. He is known for his YouTube comedy channel BB Ki Vines and work in The Bachelors produced by The Viral Fever and in Happi Fi's Bro Court[2].

Bam has also been a speaker at TEDxIIITD at IIIT Delhi and TEDxJUIT at Jaypee University of Information Technology in 2016.[3][4]

Early life and education

He did his schooling from Green Fields School, New Delhi and earned a Bachelor's degree from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.[5] Bhuvan Bam started his career as a musician performing in restaurants. He later started composing his own songs.

YouTube career

He started his Internet career with sarcastic video of a news reporter who asked a woman insensitive questions regarding the death of her son due to the Kashmir floods, which got about 15,000 views on Facebook. His first video "I'm feeling horny" went viral in Pakistan, inspiring Bam to create his own YouTube channel in June 2015.[6]

In 2018, Bhuvan Bam and Divya Dutta starred in a short film, Plus Minus, about Baba Harbhajan Singh. The short film is directed by Jyoti Kapur Das.

BB Ki Vines

BB Ki Vines is a YouTube channel whose 2–8 minutes long videos humorously depict the life of an urban teenager.[7] The YouTube channel has more than 10 million subscribers and over 1.2 billion views (as of 12 September 2018). The videos are filmed using a front facing camera on a phone by himself. He originally uploaded his videos to Facebook, and then to YouTube.[8]

Awards

Bhuvan Bam won the award for the Most Popular Channel on YouTube at the WebTVAsia Awards 2016 held in Seoul, South Korea.[9][10]

He was felicitated by the Hindustan Times at the first edition of their Game Changer Awards.[11]
