Baluni

Baluni was a region and family of the old Armenia c. 400800.

The ruler about 445 was Varazchapuh Baluni; in 451 Arzak Baluni and Varaz Chapuh; in 480 Phapal Baluni; and in 605 Varaz Baluni.

Baluni is family tree found in India, mostly in garhwal region of Uttarakhand state. They are Kasyap Hindu Brahmins, they were said to migrated from Rajasthan. The first person ADI PURUSH Shri Jeevram Baluni, migrated from Rajasthan and got settled in CHILLA village of Pauri Garwhal. From CHILLA village Baluni scattered every where in Garhwal. Baluni are well educated and well established families. They basically belong to CHILLA, Uttinda , Bagi, karakot (patti-Gagwarshun), Kandakhani and Baluni gaon villages of Pauri Garhwal district.
