Bali Nyonga

Bali Nyonga is a town in the Northwest Region of the country Cameroon on the West Central borders on the continent of Africa. It is the home of the Bali Nyonga, (a warrior clan) people of the Chamba Leko group - an entity that migrated from Chamba around 1600. Their language is known as mungaka. In the 19th century, they took advantage of German colonizers to raid surrounding villages and expand their kingdom, while providing the germans with captured slaves to work on southern, German owned plantations. Their warrior nature terrorized their neighbours as they forcefully expanded their territory in disregard of already established communities.
