Avanti un altro! is an Italian game show hosted by Paolo Bonolis and Luca Laurenti. It premiered on September 5, 2011. The international distribution name for the show is "Next One!" and it is owned and distributed by Endemol Shine Group.

First phase

Avanti un altro! is a daily game show where players queue up on stage one by one to take part in a high-speed game of knowledge. The first contestant in the queue joins the host on stage where the contestant has to answer three questions correctly out of four, while the clock is ticking. Two wrong moves and it’s on to the next one in line.

The first player to correctly answer the three questions moves to the next phase where they have to select a scroll containing a hidden cash amount. The player must decide based on the amount from the scroll whether to continue playing building their amount or cashing out and moving over to the Champion’s Chair. The decision will require some thought because the next person in the queue could easily bump the current contestant off the chair if they collect more money during their game.

Final game

In the final stage, the last person sitting in the chair plays to win his entire jackpot plus €100,000. In just 150 seconds, 21 questions need to be answered to win. The contestant must choose the wrong answer from two possibilities. If answered incorrectly, the contestant must start over from the first question to work their way back up. The time allowed for each answer is two seconds (until the fourth series in Italy where there's no time limit for giving the answer). If the response time is over two seconds, it is taken as an incorrect answer and must start from the beginning again. If all the questions are not answered at the end of the first 150 seconds, the jackpot drops down to €100,000 and decreases by €1,000 for each second passed. The decreasing jackpot stops if the player completes all 21 questions.

If the money amount gets too low for the player's liking, they may press a button which "freezes" the prize. Once frozen, they have one last chance to answer all the questions from the beginning, with the possibility that if they answer one incorrectly, the jackpot is lost and their game is over. The game also ends if the clock and jackpot are allowed to run out completely.
