AURO University, formerly AURO University of Hospitality and Management, is a private university located at Surat, Gujarat, India.[3] It was established in 2011 through The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2011.[4]

The university was founded by H.P. Rama, a co-founder of JHM Hotels, which was a US-based hospitality company with operations in USA and India. The Auro name is also used for a hospitality business from 2017, when JHM was split between its founders (with their respective successors) into four companies: Auro Hotels, Siddhi Hotel Group, Sima Hotels, and Sarona Holdings.[5][6][7]
