Ashlyn Willson, known by the mononym Ashe, is an EDM singer and writes much of her music. She went to Berklee College of Music, graduating in 2015.[1]

Background

She has lived in San Diego and talks about moving to Los Angeles. Ashe is signed to Mom+Pop; other artists on the label are Flume and Alina Baraz. Ashe put an e on her name to pay homage to Carole King.[2] Artists she admires are Stevie Nicks, King, John Mayer, Justin Vernon, Bon Iver, and actress Diane Keaton. She has written a song for Demi Lovato, You Don't Do It For Me Any More.[3][2]

She started out singing demos in Nashville and producer Ben Phipps asked her to sing on a track.[3]

She was nominated for a Juno Award in 2017 for her collaboration with Shaun Frank, Let You Get Away.[4]

Ashe toured with Louis the Child, Lauv, and Whethan.[5] Right to It was released in the fall of 2017. Louis the Child and Robby Hauldren perform on the song along with Ashe.[6]

On the 22nd June 2018, Ashe released her seven track debut EP; The Rabbit Hole.[7] One of the songs from the EP, 'Real Love', was featured on Spotify's 'New Music Friday' playlist.

While at Berklee she studied piano. Originally she is from San Jose, California.[8] She has studied classical music.[9]
