Appoorva Muralinath (born 2 February 1989, Chennai, Tamil nadu) is an active athlete from 2010 of the Indian national women's basketball team. She is a power forward/Center and has received many awards in her field. She is the daughter of K.Muralinath an international basketball player, who has represented the Indian team himself at the 1982 Asian Games

Personal Details

Muralinath comes from a family filled with hoop players, her father K.Muralinath is an international basketball player, who represented India men's National Basketball team for more than 7 years, he was a key player at the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, her mother P.R.Shaila is a basketball player who has played for the Indian Railways team. Muralinath's uncle K. Premnath and K. Gopinath were state-level basketball players as well.
