Ann O'Connor Alabaster

Ann O’Connor Alabaster (née Warner, 15 February 1842 25 February 1915) was a New Zealand teacher. She was the founder and manager of the prestigious secondary education Lincoln Cottage Preparatory School for boys from 1862 until 1882.[1]

She was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England. She married the vicar Charles Alabaster (d. 1865) in 1858 and emigrated with him to New Zealand. She opened her school when her spouse became ill and was forced to retire.
