Jang clan of Andong (Hangul: 안동 장씨; Hanja: 安東 張氏) is one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan is in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province. According to the research held in 2015, the number of Jang clan of Andong was 39,939. Their founder was Jang Jeong pil who was a powerful clan in Later Three Kingdoms. Jang Jeong pil was one of the three highest civil posts who made an achievement with Gim Seon pyeong (hanja: 金宣平) and Gwon Haeng (hanja: 權幸) when Taejo of Goryeo conquered Gyeon Hwon in Later Baekje. Jang Jeong pil’s ancestor was a Chinese and moved in Korea in the end of Silla.[1][2]
