albert sustainable production certification (also known as albert+) is a certification for a television production's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.[1][2] As a result, they can display the albert sustainable production logo at the end of their credits.[1][3]

In 2010, the BBC created a carbon footprint calculator for TV programmes, called albert. The impact of productions on the environment was recorded but the findings could not help to reduce the impact. Therefore, albert+ was created by the BAFTA albert Consortium, the industry sustainability group, as a way to encourage productions to divert waste from landfill, engage senior leaders and address energy efficiency.

Productions with this certification

Productions that meet a criteria for sustainability are awarded one, two or three stars.
