The lesser banana frog (Afrixalus stuhlmanni brachycnemis) is a subspecies of frog in the family Hyperoliidae.[2]

It is found in Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. Its natural habitats are moist savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, pastureland, and seasonally flooded agricultural land.

It is threatened by habitat loss.[1]
