Abdel hay Mashhour

Dr. Abdel Hay Mashhour (Arabic:عبدالحي مشهور) Date of Birth: 1/7/1923 The President of Tanta University in Egypt from the period 18/9/1978 until 31/7/1983

He was the president of the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association from 1989 to 1990[1] and is an honorary fellow of the International College of Surgeons.[2]

  • Diploma of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, 1953.
  • Diploma in Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, 1954.
  • Master's degree in Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, 1961.

  • Ministry of Health as a doctor 20.2.1966.
  • Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine 21/2/1966 Tanta University.
  • Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine 28/3/1972 Tanta University.
  • Emeritus Professor of Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine with effect from 31.9.1983.

Administrative positions

  • Head of the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Tanta starting from 28/3/1972 to 5/11/1977.
  • Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Tanta as of 6/11/1977.
  • President of Tanta University from the period 18/9/1978 until 31/7/1983.
