- 41st Annie Awards
- September 28 - Sunday Funday was created to replace the Animation Domination block on Fox, acknowledging that an hour of the Sunday night schedule has live-action sitcoms and is no longer fully made up of animated shows.
- October 13 - Hub Network was re-branded as Discovery Family; Hasbro remains a minority partner and programs the network's daytime lineup with children's animated programs carried over from Hub Network, while its primetime lineup was replaced with reruns of non-fiction programs from Discovery Channel's library.
