1996 Damallsvenskan
The 1996 Damallsvenskan was the ninth season of the Damallsvenskan. Matches were played between 20 April and 27 October 1996. Älvsjö AIK won the title for the second consecutive time, by nine points from Malmö FF. Jitex BK/JG 93 finished third.
Umeå IK, IFK Lidingö and Landvetter IF were promoted before the season. The first two teams were relegated at the end of the season, along with Tyresö FF.
