The 1987 West Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament (now known as the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament) was held February 28–March 2 at the War Memorial Gymnasium at the University of San Francisco in San Francisco, California.[1] This was the first edition of the tournament.

Fifth-seeded Santa Clara defeated seventh-seeded Pepperdine in the championship game, 77–65, to win their first WCAC/WCC tournament championship.

The Broncos, in turn, received an automatic bid to the 1987 NCAA Tournament. Top-seeded San Diego, who lost in the conference semifinals, also received an at-large bid.
