Laurence Doherty defeated William Clothier 6–3, 6–2, 6–3 in the All Comers' Final of the 1903 U.S. Men's National Singles Championship which was delayed by a day due to rain.^[2]^[3] Doherty went on to defeat defending champion William Larned in the Challenge Round 6–0, 6–3, 10–8.^[4] The event was held at the Newport Casino in Newport, R.I., USA.^[1]^[5] The entry list consisted of 97 players which was slightly smaller than that of the previous year.
