125 Broad Street (formerly known as 2 New York Plaza) is a 40-story office building located at the intersection of Broad Street and South Street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan.[1]

It was designed by the Kahn & Jacobs architecture firm, and the construction took place from 1974 to 1977. The building is 153 meters high and is located on the east side of the building 1 New York Plaza, and the south side of 55 Water Street. It has a modern structural design, and is one of a series of modern-style buildings built in the Financial District during the 1960s and 70s.

Starting in 2007 the managers began incorporating energy saving renovations to meet LEED Silver standards.[2] Building amenities include on-site management, day care, a coffee shop, shoe shine and a 50-car garage.[3]

It is located at the very southernmost tip of the island of Manhattan[4][5] and is within walking distance of South Ferry.
