Blue Moon is een compositie van Richard Rodgers (muziek) en Lorenz Hart (tekst) uit 1934 die is uitgegroeid tot een populaire jazzstandard. Het lied werd twee keer een hit in 1949, met opnames door Billy Eckstine en Mel Tormé. In 1961 werd "Blue Moon" van de doo-wop groep The Marcels internationaal de nummer één in de Billboard Hot 100 chart en in de UK Singles Chart.
