- Backup your files often
- Frequently save your work (Ctrl + S)
- Explore as many functions/shortcuts on your own and tell your classmates/instructor if you discover something new
- Learn how to use the “Online Help” found in the top toolbar under “Help”
- Try searching a VISSIM related question in your favorite search engine for additional help
- Important functions are either underlined or in “quotes”
- There are TIPS and WARNINGS throughout this tutorial
- Read each section entirely, including the TIPS and WARNINGS before replicating the steps in VISSIM
