Hub
It is the central part of a wheel where the spokes come together. Hubs are more commonly found in wired networks. A common connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports or sometimes contain as little as two ports. When a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets. It transmits all data received from each of the network devices present to each and every device, that way the bandwidth from the networks can be shared, but is not as efficient. Networks that use a hub are mostly a star topology, where the hub connects all the devices into the network. A hub is a linking area in video games.
