CHAPTER 27 - OMS CAREGIVERS TIPS AND TRICKS

Description

Despite treatment protocols, proven medical approaches, and other expert approaches, the day to day care of an OMS warrior often just requires good consistent practices that work in their situation. This chapter is intended to share some of the approaches that have worked well for some OMS caregivers.

In Case of Emergency

• Keep a map in the car of which seat is occupied by the OMS warrior explaining NOT to give medicines to the child without contacting the OMS specialist.

• Put identification on the OMS warrior by using a shoe tag. Place the tag on the shoe that identifies the OMS warrior and needing special treatments and emergency numbers including parents and OMS specialist.
