PROPHECIES FULFILLED IN YESHUA
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved," Acts 2:21, quoted from Joel 2:32. - "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as Yahweh hath said, and in the remnant whom Yahweh shall call," Joel 2:32. This was fulfilled in Yeshua as the representative on earth of the godhead, "Yahweh".
You can see that when you call on the Name of Yeshua, you are indeed calling on the Name of Yahweh, who is salvation. Isaiah 43:11
"This is the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:11, 12). In saying this, Peter quotes Psalm 118:22: "The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone", which goes on in verse 26, "Blessed is he who comes in the name of Yahweh!"
Paul also quotes from the same passage in Joel as Peter in Acts 2:21, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved," Romans 10:13, and also from Isaiah, "Behold I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; he who believes shall not make haste." Isaiah 28:16 ("will not be put to shame." Romans 10:11)
"And they that know Your name will put their trust in You: for You, Yahweh , have not forsaken them that seek You," Psalm 9:10.
Yeshua is the tried cornerstone of the spiritual House of Yahweh who came in the Name of Yahweh to bring salvation to all who call upon that name. He came in His Fathers' Name, His given Name "Yeshua", means 'Yahweh is salvation". To us, He is "Yahweh our Righteousness".
THE BETROTHAL AT SINAI & THE NEW COVENANT
First consider the covenant language of Jer 31:32 where the word translated husband... is BAAL....which means lord-husband-deity. Next, let us review the contrast drawn with Jer 31:34 where "all those in the NEW covenant will know (yada) Me (says YHWH)." The use of the word yada for knowing is telling because this is the same verb for when a man (i.e. Adam ) "knows" his wife intimately (Gen 4:1&25).
Correlate the above verses with: Hos_2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith YHWH, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
Hence, the upgrade in this entirely NEW covenant relationship went from "knowing" a husband-deity-lord "BAAL" at Sinai per Jer 31:31-32 to knowing (yada) Jer 31:34 intimately a MAN-HUMAN-husband "ISHI" in Hos 2:16. Plus He, YHWH, forgives their iniquity which reminds us of the atonement at the stake.
Likewise, in the Apostolic Writings, we see that the Five Foolish Brides are turned away from the Wedding Chamber because He, the Bridesgroom, does not "know" (yada) them.
Question: Who betrothed Israel at Sinai? The Father or the Son? If it was the Father, how come it was the Son who died to free her from the law of the living husband (Deut 24:1-4; Jer 3:1). Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. If it was the Son who betrothed Israel at Sinai then He is definitely YHWH as per Jer 31:31-34
THE NAME OF YESHUA AUTHORISED
"But as many as received him (Yeshua), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." John 1:12. In Hebraic culture a name has great significance in describing the character/personality of the person named.
Whenever Yeshua's Name was said, its meaning "Yahweh is salvation" would come to mind. He carried His Father's name and His Father's messianic appointment in His given name of "Yeshua". He Himself said that He did not come in His own Name, but in the Father's. John 5:43
Paul says that because He humbled Himself and became obedient to the purpose of dying for lost humanity as the substitute Lamb, that the Father had given Him a name above every name, quoting from Isaiah 45 - "I have sworn by Myself (Yahweh speaking) .. .. That to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath." Isaiah 45:23
He has been enthroned and entitled to have power and authority over all named authority and power in this age and in the coming age of the kingdom. Ephesians 1:17-23
This is the inheritance given Him by the Father as our Great High priest, He has "by inheritance obtained a more excellent name" than any other spiritual power. Hebrews 1: 4
But note that it does not exclude the Father's Name. It is qualified as the "Name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:12 But, "O Yahweh, your Name is forever, O Yahweh, your remembrance to all generations," Psalm 135:13.
"His name shall endure for ever: His name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed," Psalms 72:17-19.
EARLY BELIEVERS AND THE NAME
The scripture records that the believers healed, cast out spirits and did many wonderful works by the Name and authority of Yeshua our Lord and Messiah, and souls were saved in His Name. Matthew 10:1, 5-8
The early Assembly was not a separate unit from the Jews until after the Jewish revolt in 135 AD. Even those of the dispersion and the 'Gentiles' remained attached to the synagogue life as much s possible. Thus although the Name of Yeshua was used in ministry, the believers did not begin to call themselves after His Name until quite some time later.
At first they were known as followers of "the Way" Acts 9:2; 19: 9,23, 22:4; 24:14,22 and they were first known as Christians (our terminology) or Messianics (Messiah-in believers), in Antioch - Acts 11:26.
Although the sacred Name was not used by the Jewish sector, the Name of Yahweh is intended to be used by His people (Deuteronomy 28:10), and He says that His Name is to be a memorial for ever - Exodus 3:15
Yeshua always instructed prayer to be made to the Father, as He Himself also prayed. John 12:27; 16:23-24
Worship is to be directed to the Father, "O magnify Yahweh with me, and let us exalt his name together," Psalms 34:3.
God is now revealing His true Name to the end-time saints, and we should USE it in a HOLY, godly, pure, and reverential manner - to WORSHIP HIM with all our hearts, mind, soul, and strength to praise and glorify HIS NAME! Also, it is to be used in prayer to Him (Matthew 6: 9). Every day we should pray, without substitution of any other names, the proper name of God. We should remember the Shema (Aaronic Blessing), as He commanded, "Hear, O Israel, Yahweh our God, Yahweh is One! You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart.” (Deuteronomy 6: 4-7).
RESTORATION OF TRUTH
Daniel the prophet was told, “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased” (Daniel 12: 4).
“Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked .. .. .. but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:10).
There is to be a revelation of His Name to His people before His return, as part of the restoration of all truth to His Body for them to come to the fullness of Messiah. Ephesians 4:13-15
Psalm 91 promises deliverance to those who know and call upon the Name of Yahweh in the time of end time persecution - "Because he has set his love on Me, therefore I will deliver him: I will set him on high because he has known My Name." (verse 14) Knowing His Name in covenant relationship is entering the secret place of the Most High, in bridal intimacy, "a place better than that of sons and daughters" v.5 -Isaiah 56: 4-7
"Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mt. Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father's Name written in their foreheads.” Revelation14: 1 (NKJV)
"And they shall see His face; and His Name shall be in their foreheads , ..." Revelation 22:4
There is going to be a people in these last days whom He will stamp with His mark of approval in identification with the Father's Name. He identifies His end-time people along with those of the early period of the nation, as those exhorted to call upon His Name - Again in Joel 2:32, although applied to salvation in regard to Yeshua's work on the Stake, its full application is for the last days, “The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and awesome day of Yahweh. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the Name of Yahweh shall be saved, for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as Yahweh has said, 'Among the remnant whom Yahweh calls'”
Yahweh says that it is part of the restoration of His people that His Name will again be sanctified in their midst (verse 23 of Ezekiel 36:17-28) This is speaking of the end of the age.
He said, "I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am Yahweh." Ezekiel 38:23 Also Psalms 72:18-19.
The prophets speak of an end-time restoration of His people, the two houses of Israel, and part of that restoration will be knowing His Name. Ezekiel 36:17-25 (note v.23); Hosea 2:19-20; Micah 4: 5; Zech. 13:7-9
"Who shall not fear you, O Yahweh, and glorify Your Name? for You only are holy: for all nations shall come and worship before You; for Your judgments are made manifest," Revelation 15: 4.
THE KINGDOM AGE
"Many nations shall come and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain (kingdom) of Yahweh," verse 2 of Micah 4: 1-5; Isaiah 2: 1-3, see also Malachi 1:11
"So shall they fear the Name of Yahweh from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun;" Isaiah 59:19 "They shall come, and seek Yahweh their God. They shall ask the way to Zion .. .. .. "Come let us join ourselves to Yahweh in a perpetual covenant that will not be forgotten"" Jeremiah 50: 4-6
"In that day you shall say: 'Praise Yahweh, call on His Name; declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His Name is exalted. Sing to Yahweh, for He has done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst." Isaiah 12: 4,6
Yeshua said, “For I say unto you, you shall see Me no more till you say , 'Blessed is He who comes in the Name of Yahweh'” Matthew 23:39 "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels" Matthew 16:27; 25:31
"A King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. .. .. .. Now this is His Name by which He will be called: Yahweh our Righteousness (YHWH Tsidkenu)" Jeremiah 23: 5-6
"And Yahweh shall be king over all the earth: in that day it shall be -- Yahweh is one, and His Name one." Zechariah 14: 9
This is the time of the complete fulfillment of the new covenant when the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Yahweh. Jeremiah 31:34; Habakkuk 2:14
THE KINGDOM RESTORED TO THE FATHER
Ultimately, Yeshua will submit His authority to the Father. When He has put down all insurgent rule and authority and His commission is complete, He also will become subject to the Father, so that He, the Father may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15:24-28
Paul reveals that the family of the Most High will be called by the Father's Name.
He said, "I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named," Ephesians 3:14-15 (not named after Yeshua)
And in the New Jerusalem we see the glory of God filling it through the Lamb (Revelation 21:23), and they who dwell in that dimension of light, shall see His face and they are identified as having His Name on their foreheads, the Name of Yahweh. Revelation 22: 4; 7: 3; 14: 1
