Grammar

In general, the "to be" verb is not present in the Hebrew language. So "He David" translates to "He is David". Or הִיא שָׂרָה -- "She is Sarah".

Exercises

Who is who?

This exercise using the following extra words:
מִי -- who mi,
שָׁלוֹם -- Hello; Goodbye shalom

and some names:
שָׂרָה (Sarah),
יַעֲקֹב (Jacob),
משֶׁה (Moses),
רָחֵל (Rachel)

Now try some simple sentences

  1. מִי הוּא
  2. הוּא יַעֲקֹב
