Intermediate readers should know much of The Lord of the Rings' storyline. The reader wishes to expand on that with analysis and commentary. Most sections are open to Intermediate readers.
Excluded Content
Intermediate readers can view most things. Most content is covered and all that is left is filling in the gaps. Intermediate readers should be knowledgeable about topics covered in the books but need not be able to grasp the Greater Picture.
