Signal Modulation & Demodulation

Signal modulation is the process of mixing signal wave of low frequency with a carrier wave of high frequency to produce a broadcast wave for transmission over a long distance from a transmitter to a receiver.

Signal Modulation

Signal modulation takes place at the transmitter

  1. AM Modulation
  2. FM Modulation
  3. PM Modulation

Signal Demodulation

Signal modulation takes place at the receiver. The process involves tuning, rectifying and converting the modulation wave into a signal wave

  1. AM Demodulation
  2. FM Demodulation
  3. PM Demodulation
