B

BISAC
BISAC (Book Industry Standards and Communications) typically refers to the BISAC subject headings. These headings are typically used by publishers and booksellers to describe books' subject matter. BISAC headings are generally far simpler than the Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress classification systems. Some libraries have experimented with classing their collections according to BISAC headings, to make it simpler for patrons to browse their non-fiction materials.

M

MARC
MARC (MAchine-Readable Cataloging), is an international standard digital format for the description of bibliographic items.
