How the organization impacts on the local community

You should consider the socio-economic and environmental effects(beneficial and detrimental) of your chosen organization, and how it impacts on the local community. You should identify:

• The ways in which energy consumption is managed in the organization;
• The demands made on transport and communication systems;
• Management of waste materials and the effect this may have on the local environment;
• Contributions to the local economy. These could include community use of facilities, sponsorship of local groups etc.
